  My husband and I were excited to hit this place after reading a review on it. The restaurant is hip, very hip. But once we sat down, the painted black walls and single lightbul hanging high above our heads made us realize we couldn't read the menu. With a little help from the waiter, we ordered a $9 hot dog and a $28 plate of fish. Which is exactly what arrived. The hot dog was delicious. The fish was about a four by two inch in size piece of meat. And that was all that came with dinner. We weren't offered any cocktails and yet there was a full bar filled with hipsters in sweat pants and ironic hats. We ate our food, paid our bill and grabbed a pizza on the way home. Perhaps we're too old for a restaurant like this and yet have the economics to be able to afford it + a pizza. We won't be going back and tell most people to hit Carruthers instead.
